The ongoing internet shutdown in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir has completed 43 days today, while the shutter down and traffic jam protests have completed 38 days, due to which normal life is being badly affected.
Due to the prolonged suspension of internet service, students, freelancers, people associated with online businesses, traders and ordinary citizens are facing severe difficulties. It is also having a negative impact on educational activities, online business, government and private affairs and public relations.
On the other hand, due to the closure of business centers, markets and transport due to shutter down and traffic jams, the people are facing difficulty in providing daily necessities, while the government is also facing financial losses of billions of rupees due to the suspension of commercial activities.
The affected citizens say that the people are facing basic facilities and economic difficulties, while the political leadership seems to be busy with election activities. Citizens have demanded that practical steps be taken to immediately resolve public issues, that internet services be restored, and that effective strategies be adopted to return to normal life as soon as possible.
