18 killed, over 100 injured in recent US attacks, claims Iranian Health Minister

Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarkhandi claimed in a statement that “18 people were killed and 108 injured in US attacks in different provinces on the night between Monday and Tuesday.”

This is one of the most severe US attacks since the 40-day war.

The mountainous areas of Serik were also among the targets of the US attacks.

According to Iranian officials, four people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 65 injured during the US attacks. These people were attending a wedding ceremony.

Pazman Shahrokhi, president of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, said that six people injured in the incident in the mountainous area of ​​Serik are in intensive care units and 26 are undergoing treatment in surgical wards.

In response to a question from BBC Persian, US Central Command (CENTCOM) spokesman Captain Tim Hawkins did not deny the attack and said he was “aware” of the reports. However, he stressed that the US military never targets civilians.

Seven people were reported killed and eight wounded in attacks in different locations in Ahvaz and Aghajari in Khuzestan province. At least one of the dead was identified as a member of the “public security forces”.

The Revolutionary Guards also confirmed that four members of the IRGC Aerospace Force were killed in Kermanshah province.

Three Basij forces were also reported to have been killed following the US attack on Lawan Island.
