All 16 personnel were killed in an attack by Baloch freedom fighters on a convoy of 134 Wing of Frontier Corps (FC) near Qila Saifullah Squats, Ziarat Cross area of ​​Balochistan.
A contingent of FC 134 Wing, led by Major Salahuddin, came under attack near Ziarat Cross. According to details provided by the authorities, all 16 FC personnel in the vehicle were killed.
According to the authorities, the 16 personnel killed in the attack include Naik Ismail, Sepoy Bilal, Sepoy Abdul Rehman, Sepoy Fakhruddin, Sepoy Kankhab, Sepoy Irfan, Sepoy Akbar, Sepoy Atta Muhammad, Sepoy Rizwan, Sepoy Muhammad Tufail, Naik Muhammad Ayub, Sepoy Auliyas Khan, Sepoy Wajid Ali, Sepoy Muhammad Ashfaq, Havaldar Lutfur Rehman and Naik Zainullah.
According to officials, most of these personnel were attached to the 134 Wing of the Frontier Corps, while Sepoy Auliyas Khan and Sepoy Wajid Ali were attached to the 159 Wing, Sepoy Muhammad Ashfaq to the 150 Wing, Havaldar Lutfur Rehman to the 603 Field Battery and Naik Zainullah to the Headquarters Wing.
There were different reports about the number of casualties in the initial stages of the incident. Some sources put the number of casualties at 15, while other initial reports mentioned one officer injured and several missing. However, according to the latest list provided, all 16 personnel on board the vehicle have been killed.
Baloch Liberation Army, accepting responsibility for the attack, said in its statement that the Sarmachars targeted four vehicles belonging to a convoy of the occupying Pakistani army at the Ziarat Cross today in a single attack, as a result of which two vehicles, including a truck of the occupying army, were destroyed by direct fire.
Jayend Baloch said that the Sarmachars killed 18 personnel of the occupation army and seized their weapons, while 5 personnel of the occupation army escaped injured.
The BLA spokesperson said that the Baloch Liberation Army’s ‘Fath Squad’ was involved in the attack.
