US President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that the United States could potentially attack Mount Kalinga (also known as Pickaxe Mountain in Western media) in Iran very soon.
This is a complex of underground tunnels located near the Natanz nuclear facilities.
Trump said that the United States is at the forefront of the space sector, “We know about every person who is moving on Mount Kalinga, we know the movements of every person throughout Iran.”
The US president said that “if something goes wrong, we will target them (Iran), we will target them very hard.”
Answering questions from reporters, Donald Trump said that he prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons; “If we hadn’t intervened there, Israel wouldn’t exist today, the Middle East wouldn’t exist, and they would most likely have targeted European cities and our cities after that. But we stopped them from getting nuclear weapons.”
The US president said in another part of his speech that a war with Iran was “no big deal” for the United States.
Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance said on Thursday that he would not call the ongoing conflict with Iran a “war.”
On Friday, a journalist asked if the conflict with Iran is not a “war,” then what should it be called?
Donald Trump replied: “Look, a lot of people don’t call it a war. I call it a military conflict because for us it’s a relatively small matter. It’s not a big deal. We took action in Venezuela, we didn’t lose any lives there. We lost 18 people in the conflict with Iran. We lost 100,000 people in Vietnam.”
