Afghan Intelligence’s Grand Operation in Badakhshan Claims to Eliminate Armed Organization ‘Junbish Pasdaran-e-Mihan’

A grand operation by Afghan Intelligence in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan claims to have crushed the armed rebel group called ‘Junbish Pasdaran-e-Mihan’ just 16 days after its inception.

According to officials, the Islamic Emirate’s General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) in the sensitive border and strategic zone of Badakhshan province has permanently wiped out the name and trace of the newly formed armed rebel group ‘Junbish Pasdaran-e-Mihan’ from the province during a highly coordinated and successful operation.

Officials say that this armed faction had announced its military uprising and its formal existence against the Kabul government just 16 days ago by releasing a propaganda video on social media. However, before the group could begin its destructive operations, Afghan intelligence agencies traced the network and arrested all its commanders and armed members alive along with a large amount of light and heavy military weapons and ammunition.

According to security sources, the command of this group, called the ‘Pasdaran-e-Mihan Movement’, was in the hands of a fugitive officer of the former military regime named General Jalal Yaftali, who, on the instructions of foreign intelligence agencies and self-styled exiled political rebels like General Sami Sadat and Ahmad Massoud living abroad, wanted to open a new front in Badakhshan to destabilize Afghanistan and gain financial and political privileges and funds.

Afghan intelligence officials said that this is not the first success of Kabul, but earlier in Faryab province, a similar so-called armed front of the fugitive opposition was uprooted within just 20 days of its existence.

Defense experts believe that crushing this nascent military rebellion on the Pakistan border in a few days proves that the intelligence and border control network of the Islamic Emirate is extremely strong.

It is being said that this rapid action is a reflection of the strategic policy of the new governor of Badakhshan, Maulvi Rahmatullah Najib, and Police Chief Abdul Basir Mazhari, under which insurgents who challenge security are being court-martialed in Kabul’s military court, due to which the ‘National Resistance Front’ and other fictitious opposition fronts have suffered severe moral and organizational decline internally.
