Armed Individuals Maintain Control Over Pakistani Army Camp in Balochistan for 16 Hours

In the coastal and strategic city of Gwadar, Balochistan, ‘Operation Almas’—launched by the pro-independence organization, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF)—continues with full intensity, now well into its sixteenth hour. Baloch fedayeen (self-sacrificing fighters) still hold control over a sensitive, central military camp in the city.

During the operation, the ‘Sado Operational Battalion’ (SOB)—a fedayeen unit of the BLF—released two new videos and audio recordings from the battlefield. These recordings show Almas Baloch, the lead fedayeen operative of the mission, alongside other fighters, inside the military camp.

In the video, Almas Baloch is seen making a ‘victory’ sign while urging the Baloch nation to join the struggle for independence.

She asserts that the Pakistani army has been defeated and no longer possesses the capacity for direct confrontation.

She noted that the enemy attempted to fire from concealed positions at a distance; however, following counter-attacks by her comrades, the bodies of several enemy personnel now lie exposed. Despite sustaining injuries to her hands and feet—which have caused swelling—her resolve remains unshaken.

Other released footage shows the fedayeen taking up positions within rooms inside the camp and engaging in continuous fire. The intensity of the clashes has shattered the windowpanes, leaving shards of glass scattered across the floor.

In the videos, the fedayeen can be seen providing cover for one another while unleashing heavy gunfire upon the enemy. In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gahram Baloch has strongly rejected the claim made by Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, that the operation had been thwarted.

Describing this as a futile attempt to conceal their defeat, the spokesperson stated that, even after more than sixteen hours, the camp remains under their control.

According to the spokesperson, fresh contingents of the Pakistani army—arriving in armored vehicles to retake the FWO (Frontier Works Organization) main camp—were forced to retreat; several military personnel were killed during these clashes.

He added that a number of the Pakistani army’s quadcopter drones, deployed against the sarmachars (Baloch fighters) on the battlefield, were targeted and destroyed in mid-air.

Reports from Gwadar city indicate that an area extending more than 10 kilometers around the military camp—currently held by Baloch fedayeen (self-sacrificing fighters)—has been completely sealed off.

This measure is intended to prevent civilians from approaching the site and to suppress the circulation of any footage showing the retreat or defeat of the security forces. Meanwhile, mobile phone and internet services in this sensitive area have also been temporarily suspended.
