The government of Pakistan has announced new prices by increasing the prices of petroleum products by a large amount, after which there is a fear of further increase in inflation.
According to the official announcement, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 137.23 per liter, after which the new price of petrol has been set at Rs 458.40 per liter.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has also been increased by Rs 184.49 per liter, after which the new price of diesel has become Rs 520.35 per liter.
According to the government, the increase in the prices of petroleum products will be implemented from today.
Economic experts say that such a large increase in the prices of petroleum products is expected to significantly increase not only the prices of transport but also the prices of essential goods, which will further increase the burden of inflation on ordinary citizens.
On the other hand, there is a strong reaction from public circles to this decision and the government is being demanded to immediately reconsider.
