The head of Iran’s emergency department, Jafar Miadafar, has revealed that a large number of young children have been affected by the US and Israeli attacks, including thousands of injured.
According to a report by foreign broadcaster Al Jazeera, in a statement given to Iranian news agency Mehr News Agency, Jafar Miadafar said that 2,115 children under the age of 18 were injured in the attacks.
He added that 124 of the injured children were under the age of five, while 24 were under the age of two. These figures make the humanitarian aspect of the attacks even more serious, where even young children could not be safe.
According to the emergency chief, the total number of injured has exceeded 5,000, including a large number of women.
According to officials, the provinces most affected by the attacks include Tehran, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Isfahan, Kermanshah and Ilam.

According to experts, such attacks not only damage infrastructure but also have long-term humanitarian and psychological effects.
