The Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee in Pakistan-administered Kashmir has issued detailed SOPs for the long march and sit-in to be held at Chhatar Chowk, Muzaffarabad, aimed at ensuring the security, discipline and administrative matters of the participants. The committee has urged all participants and corps members to strictly follow the instructions.
Important SOPs
It has been made mandatory for each participant to carry his/her identity document, which may include National Identity Card, Passport, Form B or Driving License.
Corps members have been directed to maintain a complete record and contact numbers of participants coming from their areas.
A complete ban has been imposed on bringing weapons into the long march and venue.
It has been declared the responsibility of the corps members to register the participants, record the vehicles travelling and maintain discipline.
No person will be allowed to enter the march or venue wearing a niqab, even a mask will not be allowed.
Each participant will be bound by the orders of his regional core member, even if he is joining individually.
In case of any immoral or illegal act, the concerned person will be handed over to his core member.
Hateful or inflammatory speeches and slogans are strictly prohibited.
The person committing the criminal act will be personally responsible, and the core committee has the authority to separate him from the long march or hand him over to the law enforcement agencies.
The decision-making authority of the long march will be with the core members only, no individual will be allowed to interfere in it.
The administrative responsibility of the central venue Muzaffarabad has been entrusted to the core members of Muzaffarabad division.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the concerned regional core member or the central core committee will be considered final.
