The situation in Pakistan-administered Kashmir is extremely tense. 9 people were injured in direct firing and shelling by Pakistani forces on the ongoing sit-in in Rawalakot, of which 2 are said to be in critical condition.
Sources say that the advance of Rangers and police has been going on for the past several hours, where there has also been a clash with the protesters and the forces had to retreat in front of the protesters.
It is being said that after the clash and retreat between the protesters and the forces, the security forces tried to take shelter in their homes for their safety, but the women chased them back.
Those injured in the firing by the forces have been admitted to CMH Rawalakot, of which 2 are said to be in critical condition.
Sources say that the Rangers have opened fire directly on the protesters.
All the injured are said to belong to the Awami Action Committee.
On the other hand, Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee leader Omar Nazir Kashmiri said that the shelling and direct firing by the forces during the funeral prayers of Shahzeb Shaheed is making it clear that the rulers are trying to crush the people to save their luxuries.
He said that 9 youths have been injured, now it is time that no man should be present in the house. Let’s hold a protest sit-in in Rawalakot, we are peaceful, we will remain peaceful. We cannot be suppressed by this oppression.
