Reports have been received that 2 people were killed and 3 were injured during the operation by Pakistani security forces on the ongoing sit-in in Shujaabad area of Bagh in Pakistan-administered Kashmir this morning.
According to sources, the forces tried to enter Rawalakot city from Bagh, but the sit-in participants did not allow them to cross the sit-in. After which tension arose between the forces and the protesters and a firing incident took place during the operation.
Sources say that 5 people were injured as a result of the firing, who were being shifted to the hospital, where the injured died on the way.
The deceased have been identified as Wajid Siddique, a resident of Shujaabad, and Nasir Nazir, a resident of Makhiala.
According to sources, the forces could not enter Rawalakot city due to public resistance and had to return.
On the other hand, according to unconfirmed reports, attempts are being made to land forces in Rawalakot city by helicopter.
