Omar Nazir Kashmiri’s response to Atta Tarar, questions on government narrative

In the context of the ongoing protest movement in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee leader Omar Nazir Kashmiri has strongly reacted to the statements of Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar.

Omar Nazir Kashmiri said, “If we were Indian agents, why did the government keep negotiating with us for the last three years? If we were terrorists, then instead of shutting down the internet and blackout, we would have shown the world what weapons we have.”

He added that “due to our steadfastness, all the government’s narratives, lies and propaganda have been exposed before the world.”

Omar Nazir Kashmiri said that the protest movement is for public rights and the government’s stance against it does not correspond to the facts.

It should be noted that the government’s position and the claims of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee cannot be fully verified by independent sources, and both sides are denying each other’s positions.
