According to the latest reports received from the city of Rawalakot in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, the number of people killed in the incidents of firing and whistling by the forces on unarmed protesters has risen to 17.
According to local journalist Danish Irshad and the latest reports, 17 people have died so far in these tragic incidents of firing. Fifteen of the deceased have been initially identified as Usman Nazir (Rawalakot), Muhammad Muzammil (Ali Sojal), Zargham Khalil (Dreek), contractor Naeem Butt (Kotli), Fida Hussain (Gardala), Faheem Afzal (Chhota Gula), Kashif Yaqoob (Chhota Gula), Saqib Hanif (Ridh Bin), Saqib Ishaq (Namb Guwara), Nisar (Dhaman, Pakhon Nader), Ariel Asghar (Tatta Pani), Basit Shah (Hijra), Usman Gul (Dreek), Juffair Pehlwan (Tarakhel) and Arsalan Latif Dar (Haveli).
The identities of two other deceased are yet to be revealed. However, these figures and all the deaths are yet to be officially confirmed by independent sources.
On the other hand, according to local journalist Ajmal Shaheen, two convoys have currently entered the city, while the main convoy of protesters has been stopped by forces at Chinar Chowk.
