Tensions remain between the participants of the long march of the Joint Public Action Committee and the forces in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, firing and shelling continue.
A public convoy consisting of thousands of people left Bagh for Muzaffarabad on the call of the Joint Public Action Committee. According to the participants of the march, the convoy from Sharqi Bagh was fired upon and shelled intermittently at Qadirabad after noon.
The participants claim that despite the firing and shelling, the convoy is continuing towards its destination and a large number of unarmed people are participating in the long march.
On the other hand, the participants of the convoy coming from Central Bagh have also alleged that they were severely shelled and fired upon at Nomanpura.
The protesters say that despite all the circumstances, they are continuing the long march and will not give up on their demands.
As of the last reports, no official position has been issued on these claims by the relevant authorities or law enforcement agencies, while no casualties or material damage could be independently confirmed.
