Arja Mangbajri: FC raids house, Rehman Dar detained, girl tortured

The Frontier Constabulary (FC) raided a house in Arja Mangbajri, Majer Camp, Pakistan-administered Kashmir and detained Rehman Dar, an active member of the Awami Action Committee.

After the incident, there has been severe concern and tension in the area.

According to sources and eyewitnesses, local facilitation was also provided during the raid. At the time of the arrest, when Rehman Dar’s almost 10-year-old daughter stepped forward to save her father, the FC official hit her on the head with a baton, resulting in serious injuries to the innocent girl.

Immediately after the incident, when the locals tried to resist the action and prevent the arrest, the officials started firing in the air, which spread panic in the area. During this, the forces dragged Rehman Dar away with them.

Local sources say that Rehman Dar and his son Ishtiaq Dar have rendered outstanding services and sacrifices for the ongoing Awami Tehreek and the Action Committee. They also played an important role in organizing Sardar Aman Sahib’s recent successful rally and other arrangements.

After the incident, local citizens and Action Committee workers have strongly condemned this behavior of the forces, the violation of the sanctity of the chador and the four walls, and the violence against the minor girl.
