Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has stated that the long march will definitely take place on October 4. According to him, the convoy will first reach Swabi before setting off for Islamabad.
Speaking at a press conference at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar, he warned that if the federal government took any unconstitutional step during the long march, it would have to pay a “very heavy price.”
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi alleged that federal ministers were attempting to divert public attention from real issues through press conferences. He asserted that the number of participants in this long march would far exceed government estimates.
It is worth noting that Tehreek-e-Insaf had previously announced a long march to Islamabad for September 27; however, on September 25, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced in a press conference that the march had been postponed until October 4.
