IED Attack on Pakistani Army in Balochistan; 8 Personnel, Including a Major, Killed

On Sunday, a vehicle belonging to the Pakistani Army was targeted using a remote-controlled IED (improvised explosive device) in the Shadi Kor area—located in the Pasni tehsil of the Gwadar district in Pakistani-administered Balochistan.

According to initial reports, the security forces’ vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast.

Sources state that at least eight Pakistani personnel, including a Major named Wajahat, have been killed in the attack.

However, official confirmation regarding these casualties from military authorities or government sources is still awaited.

It should be noted that attacks of this nature in Balochistan reflect the mounting pressure and military tension faced by security forces and state installations within the region. No armed group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on this Pakistani Army convoy or vehicle.
