Press conference to review the implementation of the agreement reached between the government and the Action Committee

Pakistan’s Federal Minister Amir Muqam and Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, along with the ministers of Pakistani Kashmir, held a joint press conference at the AJK Council and informed about the progress of the Implementation Committee established to implement the agreement reached between the government and the Joint Public Action Committee.

The federal ministers said that a schedule of regular review meetings has been issued to ensure the implementation of all points of the agreement and the progress is being continuously reviewed.

They said that several meetings have been held in this regard, however, the non-participation of the representatives of the Action Committee in today’s meeting was termed as unfortunate.

They expressed their determination that the negotiation process will continue in the interest of the Kashmiri people.

According to the federal ministers, a legal committee has also been formed to resolve issues related to the return of refugees, two meetings of which have been convened, while the next meeting will be held on the 26th.

The press conference was attended by Ministers Chaudhry Qasim Majeed and Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai, members of the Implementation Committee, from the Pakistani Kashmir government, as well as the Chief Secretary Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

The federal government has appealed to all stakeholders to show seriousness, citing the continuous monitoring of the implementation of the agreement and the personal interest of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
