Demand for compensation for those killed in violent incidents in Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit/Kashgil News

The Awami Workers Party has demanded that the government pay five million rupees each to those killed in violent incidents in Gilgit-Baltistan under Pakistan administration and two million rupees including treatment to the injured.

A statement issued by the Awami Workers Party Gilgit-Baltistan office said that imperialist wars have been going on since the nineteenth century and the only people-friendly superpower country against the imperialist tyrannical forces was the USSR, which had proven to be a leaden wall in front of international imperialism.

The statement said that unfortunately, all Muslim countries, along with the United States and other imperialists, broke it after many decades. Now the world is changing from bipolar to unipolar, and unilateral tyranny is going on. Therefore, the working people and oppressed people of the world will have to struggle together to form a socialist society, otherwise this fight can neither be fought in the name of any religion nor can it be won.

The spokesperson said that the defeat of international imperialism is possible only through a socialist revolution where there are no oppressed people left and there is no system of plunder. Therefore, understanding the role of global imperialism, the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir should also try to make their constitutional issue a human issue by removing the lens of religion.

The party finally offered condolences to the heirs of all the martyrs. It also expressed concern over the cases being filed against the people during the protests and demanded the withdrawal of all the cases.
