The ongoing war between Iran, the US and Israel has taken a new and dangerous turn in the region, where on the one hand, Iraqi Kurdish militias have launched ground operations inside Iran, while on the other hand, tensions and humanitarian crises are deepening in the Baloch areas administered by Iran and Pakistan.
According to Israeli and US officials, hundreds of Kurdish fighters have crossed the border into Iran and entered the northwestern regions, while some reports put the number in the thousands.
There have also been reports of US and Israeli strategies providing weapons and support to Kurdish militias, which are said to be aimed at opening a new ground front against Iran.
Furthermore, reports claim that the CIA is trying to incite an uprising in Iran by arming Kurdish groups.
Iran has described these operations as a foreign conspiracy and has also launched missile attacks on the bases of these groups in the Kurdish areas of Iraq.
With tensions rising in the region, there are fears that this new front could further widen the war.
On the other hand, the Iran-US-Israel war has also inflamed existing ethnic and political conflicts in the Baloch regions.
Baloch resistance groups in Iranian-administered Balochistan have been fighting for independence for two decades.
Their activities are increasing in the current war environment, although there is no confirmation of any organized large-scale involvement like Kurdish militias.
However, there have been reports of an increase in clashes and attacks in border areas.
Iran is blaming these incidents on foreign-backed groups and is carrying out harsh military operations, which are also affecting civilians.
The situation in Pakistan-administered Balochistan is already dire due to the independence movement and state actions.
Enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, displacement and economic hardship have turned it into a permanent humanitarian crisis.
According to experts, the deteriorating situation in the Baloch areas in both Iran and Pakistan could lead to new instability in the region, especially at a time when the Middle East is already on the brink of a major war.
