A recent statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said that ‘only a country that expels the American and Israeli ambassadors from its country will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.’
A statement issued by Iran’s official news agency ‘ISNA’ on X shared a statement issued by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in which ‘Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have said that any Arab or European country that expels the American and Israeli ambassadors from its country will have full authority and freedom to pass through the Strait of Hormuz starting tomorrow.’
Earlier, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards responded to US President Donald Trump’s statement and said that ‘we will decide to end the war.’
It should be noted that US President Trump had previously said that the war in Iran would end soon.
According to Reuters, the Revolutionary Guards said that “if the US and Israeli attacks continue, Tehran will not allow even ‘one liter of oil’ to be exported from the region.”
Oil prices have been fluctuating due to rising tensions over the Strait of Hormuz. The waterway is crucial to the global energy market because about a fifth of the world’s crude oil passes through this narrow seaway.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran about disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, saying that ‘if Iran takes any action that stops oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, it will face very severe action.’
He further said that ‘the US will deal with Iran 20 times more severely than the action already underway for closing the Strait of Hormuz.’
It should be noted that about 20 percent of the world’s oil shipments pass through this strait, and due to the war, maritime transport has decreased significantly, which has led to an increase in global oil prices.
