Iran has appointed Mohammad Baqer Zolqader, a veteran military and administrative figure, as the new secretary of the country’s top security body, the Supreme National Security Council. He has served as deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards, deputy interior minister of Iran, and in key positions in various security agencies.
