JKJAAC strongly reacts to state actions, announces not to give up on demands

The Awami Action Committee has strongly reacted to the recent state actions and alleged incidents of firing on protesters, terming them as “state terrorism”.

The committee spokesperson said in its statement that the street firing on peaceful people and the allegations leveled against the Public Action Committee in the national media indicate that a policy of use of force is being adopted against the Kashmiri people.

The statement appealed to the state police to refrain from using force against the people and not to be a part of such measures that affect innocent citizens.

The spokesperson said that the public movement is ongoing to achieve public rights and the problems of ordinary citizens including police personnel are common.

The Public Action Committee reiterated its resolve to stick to its demands and said that the movement will not end as a result of any pressure or action and the struggle will continue until the demands are accepted.

At the end of the statement, citing historical and religious metaphors, the workers were also appealed to remain steadfast.
