The Gilgit-Baltistan Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Mr. Rehmat Shah has approved the bail application of renowned political and social figure Shabbir Mayar and issued an order for his immediate release.
According to court sources, the relevant case was heard in the court today.
Shabbir Mayar’s lawyer Mr. Athar Hussain Advocate appeared before the court on his behalf and gave arguments.
The defense lawyer told the court that the allegations against Shabbir Mayar are baseless and there is no solid evidence in the case.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, the court approved Shabbir Mayar’s bail and issued an order for his release.
Shabbir Mayar’s family, friends and political and social circles expressed satisfaction over the approval of his bail and welcomed the court’s decision.
