Police have arrested senior PTI workers in the Rattu area of Astore District, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rattu police arrested several senior workers affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and transferred them to the Rattu police station.
According to sources, those arrested include Altaf Hussain, Samiullah Advocate, and Samad Khan.
Sources state that a wave of arrests of political workers and raids on their homes is ongoing across various parts of the country in the context of the PTI’s long march, causing concern within political circles.
Further details regarding the reasons for these arrests, the legal provisions invoked, or the cases registered against the individuals have not yet been disclosed by the police.
