Islamabad: Kashgil News
According to the family of journalist Uzra Alam, police raided their home again last night—following her 40-day detention in Attock Jail—during which the sanctity of the home (privacy and domestic boundaries) was allegedly violated.
Reports indicate that Uzra Alam was not present at the time of the raid; however, the police took her father, Alam Hussain, her younger brother, Taimoor, and her uncles, Amir Hussain and Talib Hussain, into custody.
Expressing concern over the incident, observers note that such actions against Uzra Alam and her family—taken without the presentation of verified evidence linking them to any criminal activity—raise serious questions.
So far, there has been no official statement from the police regarding the alleged raid, the reasons for detaining the family members, or their current status.
