A traffic accident occurred at Khoro Kothe on Swat-Swabi Motorway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, in which the death toll has reached 17, according to Rescue 1122.
Rescue 1122 officials are saying that the accident occurred when a van collided with a bus parked on the roadside.
A statement issued by Rescue 1122 said that 17 passengers in the flying coach died on the spot at the time of the accident, while more than five people were seriously injured.
According to Rescue 1122 Mardan, the motorway police and local people immediately started rescue operations and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
Rescue officials say that the injured are being provided medical assistance, while the condition of some is critical.
