After the suicide attack on a military train in the central city of Quetta on Sunday, May 24, for which the BLA later claimed responsibility and said that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber and was carried out by a suicide bomber commander of the organization’s Majeed Brigade, Bilal Shahwani alias Saeen, Pakistani forces raided the house of suicide bomber Bilal in Quetta city late last night and detained five people, including his mother and two brothers, and subjected them to enforced disappearance, after which no trace of them could be found.
The brothers of suicide bomber Bilal have been identified as Babil and Omar, while a cousin has been identified as Rashid.
According to reports, two of his other relatives have also been forcibly disappeared.
It is worth noting that in February this year, Fidai Bilal’s father had expressed his disinterest in Bilal while holding a press conference at the Quetta Press Club. However, after the fidai attack that took place today, Pakistani forces raided his house, harassed his family and forcibly disappeared his two brothers.
It should be noted that Fidai Bilal targeted a military shuttle train in Quetta city on May 24, as a result of which there were reports of casualties among the forces personnel going from Quetta to Peshawar and Punjab.
Accepting responsibility for the attack, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jayend Baloch said in a statement to the media that 82 military personnel were killed and 121 injured in the fidai attack by Majeed Brigade on the Quetta Cantt military train. While 14 people are being officially confirmed dead.
In the past, when the organization released details of its leaders who were martyred in clashes with Pakistani forces, suicide attacks, or other fronts, their family members were disappeared by military authorities in retaliation, under the state’s prevailing policy of “enforced disappearance.”
