According to news agency Asian News International (ANI), India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has said that it has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Hafiz Saeed, the head and founder of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba and its alleged affiliate The Resistance Front, based in Pakistan, in the Pahalgam attack case.
Quoting the investigation agency, ANI reported that the supplementary chargesheet was submitted to the special NIA court in Jammu. It has charged Hafiz Saeed in his individual capacity as well as as the head of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba and its active affiliate The Resistance Front.
According to the NIA, the chargesheet also includes penal provisions related to waging war against India and hatching a conspiracy from across the border.
The NIA says that this supplementary chargesheet, submitted in continuation of the 1597-page original chargesheet, includes details of Pakistan’s alleged conspiracy, Hafiz Saeed’s alleged role and evidence collected in the case, which, according to the agency, was collected during scientific investigations and field investigations.
