Destruction due to torrential rains in Kashmir, severe flooding in Bagh, dozens of houses affected by cloudburst in Neelum

The torrential rains in various parts of Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir have caused severe destruction. Due to heavy rains in Bagh district and Neelum Valley, severe flooding occurred in the rivers and canals, which damaged several houses, properties and infrastructure, while reports of loss of life and property are also being received.

After heavy rains in Nala Mahal area of ​​Bagh district, a sudden flood occurred in the canal, as a result of which about ten houses were affected by the flood. According to reports, the water also carried away valuables in the houses, while the affected families are facing serious difficulties. Local people have started shifting the victims to safer places with their own help.

On the other hand, severe destruction has occurred in Katha Piran area of ​​Neelum Valley due to cloudburst. The sudden flash flood damaged dozens of houses, while several communication roads were also affected. According to initial reports, there have been casualties and property losses, but the authorities have not yet released a final estimate of the damage.

Local administration, rescue agencies and volunteers are busy with relief activities in the affected areas. The victims are being shifted to safer places, while a survey is also underway to assess the damage.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted more rains in the next few hours and days and has directed citizens to avoid rivers, landslide areas and unnecessary travel. The administration has appealed to the public to take safety measures and contact the relevant agencies immediately in case of any emergency.
