2 Pakistan Navy personnel killed in armed attack in Balochistan

Two Pakistan Navy personnel have been killed in violent incidents in the coastal districts of Gwadar and Kech in Balochistan, while armed men snatched the official vehicle of Assistant Commissioner Tamp and took it with them.

Armed men attacked and killed 2 Pakistan Navy personnel in Ormara tehsil of Gwadar district.

According to sources, the slain Navy personnel have been identified as Shoaib-ur-Rehman (PMA-IV) and Ghufran Nasir (PMT-II). They are said to belong to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

According to reports, the armed men targeted the Navy personnel, as a result of which he was killed on the spot.

After the incident, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, however, no armed organization has claimed responsibility for the incident yet.

On the other hand, while coming from Tamp to Turbat, armed men stopped and seized the official black ‘Surf’ vehicle of Assistant Commissioner Tamp near Khairabad.

According to official sources, armed men stopped the vehicle of the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner Tamp during their movement, however, the two senior officers were not present in the vehicle themselves but were safe as they were riding in another vehicle at some distance.

The armed men took control of the driver and security guard in the vehicle and took the Surf vehicle with them.

Such an action on an important route like Khairabad during the movement of government officials has raised serious questions about all the claims of security between Tamp and Turbat and the administrative control of the forces.

After the incident, the administration has claimed to investigate and mobilize, however, no armed organization has yet claimed responsibility for both the incidents.
