Volunteer School Named After Wajid Siddiq Shaheed Established in Southern Bagh’s Shaheed Abad

A volunteer school named after Wajid Siddiq Shaheed—a martyr of the movement—has been established in the Shaheed Abad area of Union Council Topi, in the southern Bagh district of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The school will provide educational facilities to children on an interim basis.

According to the organizers, children’s education in Pakistan-administered Kashmir is suffering due to the closure of educational institutions and other administrative issues. They state that in some towns, school buildings are being used for other purposes, while numerous institutions have been closed or sealed by the administration.

The organizers maintain that, given the disruption to children’s education caused by the current situation, volunteer and interim schools are being set up in various areas under the auspices of public educational committees.

The school established in Shaheed Abad is part of this initiative. Organizers state that the aim of this move is to ensure the continuity of children’s education and to mitigate the disruption in educational activities.

The public educational committees state that these volunteer schools have been established for an interim period, and teaching activities will be conducted there on a voluntary basis by locals.
