A suicide car bomb attack on a Pakistani forces check post in Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killed 10 personnel.
Police officials have confirmed that at least 10 personnel have been killed in a suicide attack on a security post in Mamond, Bajaur.
According to senior police officials, a joint FC and police check post in Loi Mamond was attacked with a car bomb. 10 personnel were killed and two personnel were injured in the attack. Rescue operations are underway in the area.
A forces official said that unknown persons have rammed a car bomb into the building where the Frontier Corps check post is located.
The official said that a madrasa was also active in the building earlier.
Another official said that a policeman and nine FC personnel have lost their lives in the attack, while more bodies are still being retrieved from the rubble.
However, the Pakistani army has not yet issued any statement regarding the incident and the casualties.
However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has taken notice of the suicide attack on the FC check post in Malangi area of ​​Mamond in Bajaur district and condemned it.
