Pakistan Army DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, while holding the Afghan government responsible for supporting terrorists, said in a press conference that the response to the terrorists was exactly what they should have received.
While holding a press conference on Friday, he claimed that more than 274 enemies have been killed and more than 400 injured in the operations carried out in Afghanistan so far, while more than 73 posts of the Afghan Taliban government have been completely destroyed, adding that 18 posts have been captured and 115 tanks and armored vehicles have been destroyed or captured.
However, the Taliban government has confirmed the capture of more than 12 Pakistani check posts, the killing of Pakistani personnel, the killing of 12 of its personnel and the injury of 22.
The clashes between Pakistani and Afghan forces began when Afghan forces simultaneously targeted several Pakistani check posts in the border area.
The DG ISPR further said that 22 air targeted operations were carried out in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Khost and Paktika, in which brigade and battalion headquarters, sector headquarters and ammunition depots were targeted.
The Pakistani army has confirmed that 12 of its personnel were killed and 27 were injured in the attacks that began last night.
The DG ISPR of the Pakistani army further said that the Afghan Taliban government should decide whether they choose TTP, BLA and ISIS or Pakistan.
On the other hand, the Afghan government spokesman, while holding a press conference in Kabul, rejected Pakistan’s claims and said that his forces captured more than 12 Pakistani check posts in retaliation and killed, injured and arrested dozens of Pakistani personnel.
The spokesman said that any aggressive move by Pakistan will be responded to in Islamabad, and if Pakistan continues the war, the forces of the Islamic Emirate are fully capable of decisive action.
It should be remembered that the recent clashes between the two countries intensified when Pakistan bombed the border areas, blaming groups in Afghanistan for the attacks on its territory.
Afghanistan has consistently denied Pakistan’s allegations and says that the Islamic Emirate does not allow any group to use its territory against Pakistan. Such clashes have occurred several times between the two countries on the Durand Line.
