Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Afghan interim government, while holding a press conference in Kabul, said that any aggression by Pakistan will be responded to in Islamabad.
At a press conference in Kabul on Friday afternoon, he said that if Pakistan continues the war, the forces of the Islamic Emirate are fully capable of giving a decisive response.
The Afghan spokesman once again said that the issue of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is an internal matter of Pakistan, which is being used as a pretext for aggression against Afghanistan.
He said that the Taliban government has good relations with India, but these relations are not against Pakistan, the Islamic Emirate has never been and will not be under anyone’s control.
He confirmed that 13 Afghan officials were killed and 22 injured in recent clashes.
The spokesman said that whenever Afghanistan was attacked, the Afghan government always tried to resolve the issue through negotiations and diplomatic means, but the attacks were repeated every time. He said that Afghanistan had only exercised its legitimate right to self-defense and had never attacked anyone.
He said that Afghanistan had been assuring all its neighbors and the international community that its territory would not be used against any country, that Afghanistan’s foreign policy was based on mutual respect and that the Taliban government did not want enmity with anyone.
Zabihullah Mujahid said that Afghanistan had nothing to do with Pakistan’s internal conflict, that the fighting between Pakistan and the TTP had been going on for 20 years and in 2007, the TTP had announced its presence in the tribal areas, after which Pakistan had also carried out several military operations.
He said that it had been four years since the Taliban government took power in Afghanistan, so now it was beyond any logic for Pakistan to shift its old internal problems onto Afghanistan.
