Attack on Iran: Resolution to seek approval from Congress rejected in US Senate

Kashgil News

An attempt by Democrats in the US Senate to restrict President Donald Trump’s power to order military action in Iran has failed.

A resolution to seek approval from Congress has been rejected in the US Senate.

It should be noted that if this resolution had been successful, US forces would have had to stay out of the conflict until the US Congress approved the operation.

The majority of senators supported military action against Iran. The resolution was rejected by 53 votes to 47 in the 100-member Senate.

Democrats said Trump ignored Congress and gave no solid reason for starting the war.
