US citizens ordered to leave Middle East, identities of 6 more dead soldiers revealed

The United States has ordered its citizens to leave more than a dozen countries in the region after Iran attacked American targets in the Middle East.

On Saturday, American citizens were ordered to leave Iraq immediately after a missile hit the US embassy building in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The embassy wrote: “American citizens who are choosing to remain in Iraq should reconsider their decision given the serious threat posed by terrorist militias affiliated with Iran.”

In addition, according to Reuters, the United States said on Saturday that it had also ordered non-emergency government employees and their families in Oman to leave the country.

On the other hand, the United States has released the identities of six soldiers who died in a plane crash.

The US Department of Defense has released the identities of the six soldiers who died in a military refueling plane crash in Iraq on March 12.

The statement released on Saturday named them as John A. Klinner, Ariana G. Savino, Ashley B. Pruitt, Seth R. Koval, Curtis J. Angst, and Tyler H. Simmons.

All were on board the KC-135. The tanker was taking part in ongoing US operations against Iran.

The Pentagon said the incident was under investigation. The US has previously said the plane was not the target of enemy fire or friendly fire.

According to the details released, one of the personnel killed in the plane crash was Captain Ariana G. Savino, 31, a resident of Washington and stationed at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa, Florida.
