Oil prices have surged in Asian markets after US President Donald Trump called Iran’s response to US proposals for a ceasefire “totally unacceptable”.
On the other hand, the Iranian ambassador to China has said that “any possible agreement must be guaranteed by major powers and presented to the UN Security Council.”

In his short message on Truth Social, President Trump said that “I have read the response given by the so-called ‘representatives’ of Iran.”
He wrote that “this is completely unacceptable”.
It should be noted that the details of Iran’s response to the US offer to end the war were not released.
This response was sent through Pakistan, which is playing the role of a mediator in the dispute.
Earlier this week, Donald Trump had said once again that the war in Iran would be “over soon.” However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the war against Iran cannot be considered over without “eliminating” Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium.
On the other hand, oil prices in Asia rose on Monday morning after Donald Trump described Iran’s response to US proposals to end the war as “completely unacceptable.”
Iran had sent its response to the US via Pakistan, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Brent crude oil prices rose 3.8 percent to $105.20 after the US president rejected the Iranian response, while the price of crude sold in the US rose 4 percent to $99.30.
The vital Strait of Hormuz has been virtually closed since the US and Israel launched a war on February 28, severely disrupting global oil and gas supplies.
