Jammu Kashmir Peoples National Party Secretary of Publication Kiran Kanwal has fully supported the protest of Women University students and said that she supports the protest of Women University Bagh students against transport timing issue and additional fare.
She said that it is their fundamental right for Women University Bagh students to protest against additional fare and transport discipline. Despite Women University Bagh being a government institution, academic, hostel, transport and other charges are being levied on the students, which is an additional burden on the working class.
She further said that under the semester system, lakhs of rupees are already being levied from the working students in the form of fees, which parents pay by cutting their stomachs, adding more burden on top is unbearable and is tantamount to snatching a piece of bread from the poor in the name of education.
Kiran Kanwal said that we demand from the university administration that the problems of the female students be resolved immediately
