In the context of ongoing public demands and government talks in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam, while holding a press conference at the Information Department office, said that the government has been serious about the negotiation process from the very beginning and all possible steps are being taken to resolve public issues.
Amir Muqam said that the government is “ready to give more than what it can do”, while the 37-point agenda has been implemented so far.
He said that today’s talks were also held in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, in which various issues were discussed in detail.
The Federal Minister said that in the context of the current international situation, Pakistan needs internal stability because “the eyes of the whole world are on Pakistan at this time”.
He said that the country is being taken in a better direction with the efforts of Pakistan’s political leadership and field marshals.
Talking about the issue of reserved seats for refugees, Amir Muqam said that this matter is with the Constitutional Committee, while the members of the Core Committee will hold detailed consultations in this regard in the meeting to be held on May 14.
He added that the issue of taxes has also been discussed in the negotiations.
According to him, the government has reduced the number of ministers, while the process of merging various departments is also underway so that expenses can be reduced and the administrative system can be made effective.
