Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, stated that India rejects the reference made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding Jammu and Kashmir during his address to the United Nations General Assembly.
It is worth noting that in his address to the UN General Assembly, President Erdoğan had called for the resolution of all disputes in South Asia—including the “Kashmir issue”—through dialogue, within the framework of the UN Charter and relevant resolutions.
Referring to this speech, the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated today that the matter of Kashmir concerns India’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and no external party has the authority to discuss it.
