India will continue its war against terrorism, Indian military officials

Indian Army Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, while holding a press conference on the completion of one year of Operation Sindoor on Thursday, said that “India will continue its war against terrorism and will take every necessary step to ensure its security.”

He added that “after suffering heavy losses, the opposing side came to its senses and requested a ceasefire. When this request came, we stopped the operations. We retreated but we did not show weakness.” We had given our message and that message was clear that any aggression will be met with a befitting reply and terrorism will have to pay a price.’

He added that ‘Operation Sindoor is not over yet, it is just the beginning.’

Quoting poet Dushyant Kumar, he recited this verse ‘My aim is not just to create a ruckus, my effort is to change the situation.’

Indian military officials further said that ‘If Operation Sindoor was a proof of balanced and measured resolve, then our next response will be one of continued superiority. If we are challenged again, we will not just respond but will shape the battlefield situation from the outer borders.’

Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai claimed that ‘It is a fact that Pakistan-China relations, in their own words, are deeper than the seas and higher than the mountains. Similarly, it is also clear that 80 percent of Pakistan’s military equipment is Chinese-made.

He added, “Whether we face three adversaries like Turkey, China or Pakistan on the same border, the reality is that we have to compete with the same team that is present on the field. So this is not something that we should be overly concerned about, nor is it within our control.”

He expressed confidence that “India and its armed forces are on the path to meet all these challenges. In this context, after a year, we are here to assure you that the lessons learned last year have been well-implemented and we are on the path to continuous progress.”
