Trump’s address to the nation: He called Tehran’s current leadership “thugs and murderers”

In his address to the nation, US President Donald Trump, while discussing in detail Iran’s nuclear program, the ongoing war, the Gulf situation and US military operations, called Tehran’s current leadership “thugs and murderers”.

He said that Iran has been responsible for terrorist attacks and instability in the region for the past 47 years, and such leaders cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

Referring to the crackdown on recent protests in Iran, Trump said that thousands of civilians were killed, and it proves that the current Iranian regime is a threat to world peace.

He said “I will never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Trump claimed that Iran was “very close” to developing nuclear weapons and was rapidly developing long-range missiles.

As expected, President Trump announced that the United States is close to achieving its military goals in Iran and that the mission will be completed soon.

He said that Iran’s navy, air force and missile capabilities have been “virtually destroyed.”

Trump referred to the June 2025 attack, “Operation Midnight Hammer,” as an operation the world has never seen before.

According to him, “We completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

He described the current operation, “Operation Epic Fury,” as essential for the security of the United States and the world.

Trump also blamed Iran for rising oil prices and said that disruptions to energy supplies in the Gulf were the result of Iranian threats.

He urged countries that buy oil from the Middle East to come forward to protect the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said, “Those who want oil, buy American oil.”

The White House was filled with senior military leaders, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kaine, Secretary of Defense Pat Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Trump called the war against Iran “a real investment in American children and future generations.”

He said the conflict had only been going on for 32 days and that America was safer and stronger than ever.

At the end of his speech, he paid tribute to the 13 American soldiers who died in the war, saying, “The real tribute to them is to complete the mission.”
