Blatant violation of court orders in Bagh, alleged occupation of poor citizen’s land

The performance of law enforcement agencies and district administration has once again come under question in Bagh district of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, where the land of a poor citizen, Abdul Rashid Minhas, was allegedly occupied despite a clear stay order from the court.

The incident has not only raised serious concerns at the local level but has also shaken public confidence in the justice system.

According to the affected citizen, he had approached the court to protect his land, on which the court issued a clear stay order. However, despite the court orders, influential people allegedly occupied the land due to the tacit support or lack of interest of the administration.

Sources say that in this entire process, not only was there negligence on the part of the relevant agencies, but allegations of collusion of some officials are also coming to light.

Civil society groups and social organizations have termed the incident as a blatant violation of the law and said that if the implementation of court orders is not ensured, it will be impossible for the common man to get justice.

They say that this is not just an individual’s problem but an alarm bell for the entire society, because such incidents give free rein to the encroachment mafia.

According to legal experts, violation of the court’s injunction is a serious crime, which requires immediate action and strict legal action against those responsible.

They demanded that the higher authorities take immediate notice of the matter, conduct a transparent inquiry and bring the involved elements to justice.

Public groups have warned that if such injustices are not remedied, it may result in a severe public backlash, which will cause more difficulties for the administration. Citizens have appealed to the government to ensure the rule of law and protect the rights of every citizen so that the justice system can be strengthened.
