Reports of deadly attacks on Pakistani forces have been received in different areas of Balochistan, in which 11 personnel including a major are being claimed to have been killed, while more explosions have been reported in Gwadar, Zamran and Dera Bugti and Mastung, where several vehicles carrying minerals were destroyed.
Sources say that two deadly attacks have taken place on Pakistani forces in the Chamalang and Mastung areas of Balochistan, in which 11 personnel including a major were killed.
According to local media, at least 5 Pakistani army personnel were killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion during a military operation in Chamalang, including Major-rank officer Major Tauseef Ahmad Bhatti.
In a separate incident, a convoy of about 20 heavy vehicles carrying minerals was attacked by heavily armed attackers in the Sheikhwasal area of Mastung district, resulting in several vehicles being destroyed.
According to sources, at least 6 Pakistani military personnel assigned to the convoy’s security were also killed.
Meanwhile, FC and police were targeted by unknown persons in Gwadar and Zamran yesterday with IED and cracker bomb blasts, resulting in the injury of 2 personnel.
A police patrolling motorcycle was attacked with a cracker bomb in the Faqir Colony area of Gwadar, injuring a police officer.
After the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence.
The FC road clearance team was busy in sweep searching in the Nawano Zamran area of Kutch district when an officer, Hasnain, was injured in an IED blast.
Two peace force personnel were injured in a roadside bomb explosion in the Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti district.
According to the police, the injured were shifted to the hospital after the blast, while further action is underway.
The Aman Force is considered a regional militia that faces allegations of state-sponsored enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and aiding and abetting the Baloch genocide in Balochistan.
No organization has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
Pakistani authorities have not yet issued any official statement regarding these incidents.
